James's Story
Life
Hi there to all those who might actually find this page...after GHS I graduated from SUNY Oswego and then lived in Rochester until 1983, moving to Connecticut and have remained there ever since. I have worked in television operations since 1981, and have worked for Westinghouse (no longer in broadcasting business), then as Manager of Operations for the Fox News Channel in Manhattan for 3 years....I then did some consulting for A&E Networks before being hired as an Operations Manager for ESPN, which I hated. ESPN might be fun to watch, but you wouldn't want to work for them....talk about stepping backwards into the way TV was done 15 years ago...anyway, I left ESPN afer 5 months and came back to my roots with CBS/Viacom (who had purchased the Westinghouse facility)....I worked as a special events manager for Speedvision, A&E / History Channel, NBA.com TV and many other clients....today I am a technical...Expand for more
manager for CNN NY.... I was married in 1994 and have 1 daughter, Summer, now 6 years old...I also inherited 2 step children, 13 and 15 years old....I have not played the drums since high school....I met my wife while DJing retro-disco nights at a club in New Haven CT back in 1992, and she hired me to do the same at the night club she owned (ART BAR in Stamford,CT)....after a few months she found me irresistable and we were married, so I also was a nightclub owner for about a year until we sold the club. I was/am a club DJ (moonlighting) since the late 70's - (I stared dabbling in the DJ thing at the old G'ville haunt, no longer in business, CRANDYS, and really got into it after spending every weekend night at THE RAFTERS in Saratoga...(also no longer standing)....Anyway, that's a quick review for those who might care...too bad more classmates aren't registered here, and those who are should add their bios!
