James's Story
In short I went to the Cornell Hotel School after high school and graduated with a bachelor's degree. After a stint in the army I worked in the hotel business for my career in all sorts of positions. I ended my career back at Cornell where I managed the Statler Hotel, Cornell's teaching hotel until I retired to care for my wife.
My wife of 27 years passed away in 2006 after a long illness. Taking care of her transformed my life. Now I want to be able to spend some time smelling ...Expand for more

My retirement has been spent traveling and playing golf along with my daily workouts. I try quite seriously to keep in shape.
To keep my brain cells from going totally dormant I have traveled to Mexico a number of times to study Spanish. The profile picture of me was taken in 2008 when I had just finished the hike up the Pyramid of the Sun in Teoticuacan. I am going back to Mexico, in fact, in January of 2010 to the city of Merida.
