James's Story
Wow!!! Time sure does fly when you are enjoying life. My beautiful wife "Lisa Myers" and I have been married for 46 great years now. It gets better every day. Our Family is doing well.
I am now the RETIRED General Manager of Franz Bakery. I have been in the Bakery Business for 43 years doing various jobs. Started out as a Route Sales Rep in 1979. I moved up through the ranks to become General Sales Manager at Wonder Bread, which was located on the corner of Fremont and Williams Avenue in Portland. In 1998 I decided to go to work for Franz Bakery as a Corporate Account Manager. I became General Manager of the Portland Bakery in 2008 and just retired in July of 2021.

My Son Josh and his wife have blessed us with a Grandson by the name of Logan Gordon. He is named after his Great Grandpa Dr. Gordon Myers. Our Granddaughter Jordyn is also one of the most thoughtful persons I have ever been around.
My Son Drew blessed me with my first Grandson, Aiden. He has without a doubt, the biggest bluest eyes you ever did see. He takes after his Grandma Lisa on the eyes! Drew and his wife have also blessed Lisa and I with two more Grandchildren, Declan and Teagan, who also take after Grandmother with their blue eyes (Dad and Mom have them too!).
I feel very blessed to have five grandchildren. They are all very different in personality and I can't wait to be around them. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
