James's Story

The day after graduation I went to work with my Dad in Minn. Then a not very productive year at ASU. My draft lottery # was 31, so I joined the Air Force. K9 training and combat training led to a year in Vietnam. Then McCoy AFB in Orlando,FL. Then Barksdale in Louisana. Discharge in 1975. been here in Brownwood for about 30 years now. 26 of those with Phillips Petroleum, now Chevron Phillips. Married for 29 yrs, now happliy divorced, with a son "Chris" and daughter "Jennipher". My son was killed by a drunk driver on New Years' Eve of 1996. My daughter and son in law have given me three wonderful grandsons. Profile photo is from my last cruise, with my girlfriend and her family.
