James's Story
The majority of you may not remember but I walked out of the last semester early. I did come back for the graduation ceremony. After that I took a week long trip to Orlando before reporting to Air Force Basic Training. I did a little over four years active duty most of it in Minot, ND. Yes I was deployed for Desert Shield and Desert Storm. While in Minot I also worked with the Ward County Sheriff's Department as Reserve Deputy for three years. I completed my active duty service and returned to Cheyenne to use my G.I. bill. While going to LCCC I transfered my military service to the Air Guard. tical Fighter Wing for 17 years. In 95 I got married to Twilla and she already had a four year old son. In 97 I was gifted in the healthy delivery of my daughter also in 97 I was hired by the Colorado department of Corrections to work as an officer in the oldest facility in the state (CTCF) Colorado Teritorial Correctional Facility. In the Spring of 2000 I was promoted to Sergeant and transfered to the newest and largest facility in the state (SCF) Sterling Correctional Facility. I was deployed in '03 and again in '04.
