James's Story
Fourty years ago when we left Malden High my life was inv bootcamp with the UsNavy from there I went to three duty stations one was Viet Nam and two carriers where I worked as a bomb disposalman untill my discharge ibn 1970.
After the Navy I floated from job to job not knowing what I wanted out of life untill 1974 when I met my wife Fran (we have been married for 28 years this June I had a great job working as a hazardous waste disposal tech for a company that was out in Concord till 1993 when I got laid off. less than six months afterwards I had serious problems falling I went back to jthe Va and was...Expand for more
told I was a crybaby but I dident give up in the end I won but I lost I was given 100% disability and I had less than one year left in the guard till I retired they retired me early after this was all over with I formed a nonprofit agency that gets computer equiptment companies are throwing out and refurbishes it and gives it away where there is a need.I also went back to school when I turned 50 and was awarded an associates degree in science and I am at the University of Massachusetts working on my batcholers degree in community planning I also have two sons Peter and Allen and a daughter named Cecilia
