James's Story

Life Jim went to Washington. Yeah, that's what a lot of people remember from my senior year. But from High School I actually joined the Air Force. I was a Chinese, then a Russian translator. Stationed in Monterey, California (twice); San Angelo, Texas (twice); Okinawa, Japan; England; Maryland; Germany; then finally, Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska. Still living in Omaha. Married my first wife in 1982 in Monterey. We have five kids. Oldest is a girl, about to turn 25 and living with her mom in Las Vegas. Second is also a girl who is here in Omaha, doing college at the age of 24. Third was a daughter who died in an accident in 1992 at the age of five. Finally we had a boy, who is now 16 and has all the answers... like I did when I was 16! Our youngest is turning 13 in June. My ex abandoned the family in 1999 and the divorce was final in 2000. Left me with all the kids, the bills, etc. I worked at Cox Communications after 18...Expand for more
years in the military. Took the big buy0out when Clinton was doing his big reduction in force, thinking I would get a nice job as a translator with some company opening markets in Russia. Didn't happen that way. Now driving a semi across our great country and enjoing it. Nice, corner office with an ever-changing view, something different every day, etc. Remarried in 2001 to a wonderful lady from Texas. She has an older son who remained in Texas to go to college. Now graduated with a computer science degree from UNT. With her she brought two daughters. One is now 21 and managing a CiCi's in Omaha. The other is now 16. OK, that's a mini-bio to see if anyone actually reads it and wants to communicate! Jim PS - BTW, I have matured now and left the liberals years ago. As Winston Churchill once said: "If by the age of 30 you are not a liberal, you have no heart. If by the age of 40 you are not a conservitive, you have no brain!"
