Entering Lowell High in 1958 from St. Michaels' Elementary in Centerville was quite a culture shock, I worked at the Dairy Farms which was a hangout for all the local kids dishing out ice cream, french fries and lots of vanilla cokes. although school and getting good grades came easy it was difficult to adjust with the fast social activities that personified the essence of High School. I somehow became part of the greaser group and hung out with guys like Gary Wolf, Eddie Shultz, etc. Graduating in 1962 was amixed bag of emotions because I didn't have any financial resources to go on the college and the US Army was knocking on the door of all available18-19 year old males. Luckily I married my teenage years sweetheart Claire Surprenant, and found a full time job a AG Hardware on Lakeview Ave. Soon it was marriage, and almost immediately 4 wonderful children.
