T. James's Story

I have been married to Patrice for 48 years and we have one son, Jordan who works in policy analysis for the federal government. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at SFU and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at UBC and worked in Community Corrections from 1978, both in family justice and adult probation, until my retirement in February 2008. Concurrent with this work Patrice and I have built a busy private practice in clinical counselling in Langley. For several years until recently, I worked on the completion of a Doctorate in Psychology (Counselling Psychology). I also worked as a sessional professor in undergraduate psychology at Trinity Western University from 2008 to 2018. We lead busy lives! We have done some international work through an NGO with which we bring psychological relief to those experiencing war and natural disasters. chological debriefing and training of those in the field who would carry on after she left. We would like to do more of this kind of work in the future. We have lived in Langley, BC since 1979 and have a couple of acres in a semi forested hideaway. We operate our private practice in our home--our clients love the retreat to nature this provides although COVid-19 has meant we see clients by video. In our travel time, we have bicycled across Germany, Austria, and northern and southern Spain. I absolutely love Portugal. We expect to do more of this in the future when COVID-19 is less of a risk. We love France and expect to visit many other sites in Europe but are also eager to see more of Central and South America as well. Costa Rica is fabulous; of course, we've been to Mexico several times and Patrice has been to Guatemala and Peru. We want to do a wine tour across Chile and Argentina in a not too distant winter.

Thinking about you today, Dad. You would have been 105! Happy Birthday. The family wheel is a little wobbly without you and mom.

45 years married to the woman who chose to join her life to mine. Amazing! We've come through much and have much more to experience. Life is good. God has blessed us wonderfully!
The next few days in Ottawa will surely make these statues want to dress for the weather!

A wonderful mother's day meal with my love. We worked together to prepare delicately bbq prawns and romaine with an awesome lamb leg and stewed veggies. Topped off with a great bottle of 2015 Nk'Mip Talon. All in all, be
