James's Story
I was sitting here tonight remembering the good ole days of Carlisle Education. What really sticks out in my mind is when we had an employment motivation day in the 11th or 12 grade. A Counselor from the employment agency told me that if I studied hard and applied myself, maybe one day I could become a good Mechanic Helper. I think I did okay.

Riyadh C-130 Program Change of Command
Effective September 11, 1999, James (Jim) I.. Young, Technical Manager, has been assigned as Technical Director of Riyadh C-130 Program. Jim has been on the Riyadh Program since November 1983, holding a variety of technical and managerial positions. He replaces Robert J. (Bob) Edinger who recently returned to the United States. ionalism has significantly contributed to LMIMES success through a most difficult and challenging period. LMMES wishes Bob Edinger the very best on his return to the U.S., and welcomes Jim Young in his capacity as Technical Director at Riyadh C-130 Program, where he will continue the team effort with the RSAF customer and all LMMES employees in carrying on the tradition of the high performance standards provided by LMMES over these last several years.
I went there as an aircraft electrician. Within 3 months, I was promoted to Avionics Supervisor ahead of people who have been there for 5 -6 years longer. After 1 1/2 years in that position, I was promoted to Avionics Manager. Later promoted to Technical Manager and finally the highest position to Technical Director. I left Saudi Arabia in 2000 and started other programs for Lockheed Martin in Egypt and France. I later was sent to take over another project as General Manager in the Philippines from which I retired. I don't think I did not do too badly for aspiring to be a Mechanic Helper.
Just sayin!!!
