James's Story
Anyone remebers me? Grad from MSHS in June, worked at Masons Diary in Cresaptown unitl December, received draft notice left for US Army, Fort Knox in March for a 6 year obligatin, spent time at Fort Lee, Va. sent to Okinawa for a 18 month vacation on the beaches, returned to Fort Holabird, Baltimore, Maryland, returned to Mt. Savage, was given a job at the Western Md. Railroad by Carl Pressman worked 2 years, hard times, was hired on at Frostburg State in Occupational Safety Admin position, worked there for 41 years. in 73 joined the West Virginia National Guard at Keyser transferred to Camp Dawson, Kingwood WV and retir...Expand for more
ed from the US Army WV National Guard with 32 years credit. Married a sweet South Cumberland Girl in 76 (and continue that relation to this day) three yrs later we were blessed with s wonderful son Mike and two years later another son came along, Andy. Paula worked for the AC School Board for 21 yrs after the boys were in school. We have retired from the US Army, State of Md. and the ACSB. To Quote the NY Yankies baseball player Lou G. "I'm the happiest man in the world." We live in Cumberland on the Maple Side and are enjoying each others company both day and night. It has been a great life since grad.in 66.
