James's Story
Attended Texas A&M (1968-1970).
US Army (1971-1973).
Lived in Houston (1973-1981) working in Land Surveying and off-shore navigation for oil exploration (seismic surveys).
Moved back to Bryan for a short time recovering from back surgery in 1982 and early 1983.
Moved to Austin in 1983, still in Land Surveying and met the lady (Rudi Garnett and her son Greg) that was to become my wife and immediate family.
Married in 1984 and daughter (Julia) born in 1986. Now l...Expand for more

Passed the state test to become a Registered Professional Land Surveryor.
The economy tanked and I changed to the Information Technology field in 1988.
Continued in IT until December 2015 when I retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Enjoying retirement and grandkids (Greg's son Henry and Julia's son Whitaker).
Moved to Albuquerque, NM in May 2017.
Still enjoying retirement and making new friends.
