James's Story
Two University degrees from Cal State Northridge (environmental biology, medical technology). 32yrs as medical technologist (not technician) at VA Sepulveda(San Fernando valley) and VA West Los Angeles (Wilshire/ 405 fwy) on
evening shift (we had 3, if we were lucky, 4 techs to run a laboratory it takes 33 techs to run during day shift. Each tech had to be able
to run a full Dept. alone. (ex: Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Coagulation, and even though it's a pissy job, Urinalysis, and
Blood Gas Lab (which gives the physician the most immediate assessment of a patient's condition and must be completed within 4min of reception)etc. In other words, the full ran...Expand for more

I go up to the Sierras, walk in 10 mi., and camp as often as possible.
Was in USAF during Vietnam, and sleep very well at night. Did some serious stuff, but nothing of which I need to be ashamed.
One daughter and, of course just like yours, the cutiest of pies of grand daughters I spoil as much, and often, as I
can get away with doing.
I'm seriously into archery, using a 45lb one piece wooden recurve bow. Relaxing and fun for me.
Do we/have we had any reunions? I'd really like to see you guys and swap stories.
It's been a good life with very few regrets, and I hope the same can be said for your lives post-Loara.
