Military
served with the 1st inf div [big red one] 32nd field arty from 1962 thru sept 1964. assigned to west germany in july 1963 in wilflecken, west germany [near the iron curtain] thru feb 1964. temp assigned to the berlin brigade in west berlin, [berlin wall] west germany, american sector, in nov, dec 1963 and jan 1964. the 1st div was temp assigned to the 8th army corp and then reasigned to "rangers" 2nd armorded div [hell on wheels] while in west germany. the 1st inf div of ft riley, kansas was re...Expand for more
assigned to wurtsburg, germany in 1999 and the 24th inf div reactivated in 1999 to replace the 1st inf div. i am now in the 30th year active member of the american legion. muncy post 268 for 28 yrs and now montandon post 841 as a sgt of arm officer and a member of board of directors in montandon pa, also social member of the milton VFW post 1665 and 40/8 V-13 Milton, pa, and member of the central susquahanna valley veterans council of union, snyder, northumberland counties and lewisburg parade committee.
