James's Story
Life
In school I was known as Jimmie Heddon; however all my adult life I've gone by Jim....or in business sometimes James.
School
I started school at Clermont, Florida but transferred to Lakeland to Lake Morton Grammar School in Spring of 1942. Transferred to Dixieland Grammar in 3rd grade and went there through 7th.
Went to Lakeland Junior High and High School at old school on N. Florida Avenue but in our Senior year we moved to the new high school on Hollingsworth Road and became the first graduating class from that school.
Attended the 50th Anniversary of the school in 2003 and had our 50th reunion weekend in October 2003 followed by a cruise to Grand Cayman & Cozumel, Mexico.
Workplace
I was a Field Auditor with Wells Fargo Bank from 1961 to 1963. Traveled the whole bank system from branch to branch with an audit crew.
I was a Training Supervisor at Bank of California from 1963 to 1966 where I worked with the Director of Training and his staff putting the newly-hired college MBA's through a training program to prepare them for various assignments within the bank.
I was with California Canadian Bank from 1966 to 1969. I was hired to write the bank's operations manuals; however, for the first two years I was assisting in the Operations Department mainly in conversion of the branches to an in-house Burroughs computer system. I was an Assistant Cashier.

I flew mainly European trips, however, did trips to Japan, Hong Kong and Tel Aviv infrequently.
