Military With the [bad] War & the [worse] draft the key issues of our Class & generation the question is not Military service 'where', but 'if'. If you had to go, & if you made it back whole. I drew a low, and 'unlucky' number in the draft lottery, the bar-bouncers' "86". As in "Eighty-six that guy,thro...Expand for more
w him out" (& off the planet/wheel of life.) For many, all the familiar (& some personally unique) reasons, I wasn't going to be drafted to fight/kill in Nam -- or anywhere else! So I wasn't. I didn't 'go'. I beat the draft. Free at last. I might tell the story privately; it's not for publication
