Jim's Story
Life
After Graduation, I went to college in Florida to Study Marine Biology, as planned. I got a B.S. in Marine Science, but decided to double major in Math (I know, big surprise). While I was a freshman I met my wife, and we got married in June '93, between my sophomore and junior years (her junior/senior). After graduation, I came back to Elyria, intending to teach math somewhere, but discovered it would take 2 1/2 more years of school to get a teaching certificate. big surprise), until the Lord called me into the minstry. That actually was a surprise!. In August 2000, I was appointed to my first pastorate in central Ohio. I am now serving in Kent.
My wife Jennifer and I have three beautiful children, ages 10, 9, and 7. I attended Ashland Theological Seminary and graduated in 2000 with a Master's of Divinity. Now I am working on the process of ordination, which takes a total of about 10 years in the United Methodist Church. Overall, life is pretty good, and God is always faithful!
