, my next job was working for Burlington Northern Railroad on a small steel gang replacing and repairing railroad tracks all over Nebraska. After more than four years of working year round outdoors in our wonderful Nebraska weather I decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps and I left of boot camp on the 13th of September 1979. After graduating from boot camp at MCRD San Diego California on the 23rd of December 1979, I attended Electronics Air Defense School at Fort Bliss Texas. After graduating second in my class from that School I was stationed at MCAS Yuma Arizona from April 1980 until I was medically discharged and released from active duty on the 23rd of December 1986 after more than seven and a half years on active duty in the Marines. I was seriously injured repelling above Bridgeport California during Mountain Warfare Training. I crushed the C3 - C4 levels in my cervical spine and after under going surgery I was eventually medically discharged and sent home, unfortunately I had to go through four more spinal surgeries to repair my spine as it degenerated below my first injury site. After all of my surgeries and a decade later I now am rated as 100 percent service connected disabled Marine veteran as a result of those injuries. I graduated from Lincoln East High School in 1975 and from Southeast Community College in 1992 with a double AAS Degree in Accounting and Material Management and from the Doane College Lincoln Campus with a BA in Business in 1996. I love to read, listen to music, watch movies, go fishing, and spend time with my family and our dogs. Semper Fi and go Spartans.
