James's Story
I graduated from CHS in '68, then attended Diablo Valley College. Graduating with an AA in '70 I moved onto Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, graduating in '72 in History with an English minor. After many twists and turns I began a career in the CA Dept of Corrections, eventually retiring as a Captain. up my career in Susanville CA in 2008, and live there still. I am still active in Law Enforcement and am a reserve deputy for Lassen County. The country up here is big and wild and more like Idaho than CA, and I expect to finish out my days here. I love to hunt and fish, ATV, explore, and kick it with the guys on duty, when they need to come in out of the cold for a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter's night.
