Jamie's Story
Life
My Spouse
I met Jim in a bar. I was out celebrating my divorce from my second husband. My brother took me out dancing to celebrate and I met the funniest guy!!! He bought me flowers, told me jokes and he was just GREAT!
My Pets
We have a dachshund. She's a pie-bald, dappled miniature dachshund with blue eyes. She is a mess!
My Kids
I wasn't supposed to be able to have children. Since I'd been married twice before, my son's father takes ALL the credit for getting me pregnant!!! LOL!!! We're all named James. J.R. (or Jimmy as I call him) is a straight "A" student and loves Science and History. Does this sound like anyone all of ya'll used to know? BUT...he really likes Math, too! He didn't get THAT from me!!!
My Job
Mostly my job is customer service. My title is Rate Clerk, which means I secure cost estimates for moving freight from point A to point B. This takes quite a bit a math and geometry as I've got to calculate how much room the shipment...Expand for more
takes up on a trailer! For anyone who remembers me in Mr. Crowther's or Mr. Winter's math classes, this will probably be quite a surprise!!!!
College
I rushed through college because I thought I just had to get married. Larry Mayer & I were engaged when we both went through UTA. I majored in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I graduated from Sam Houston H.S. June 2, 1972 at the age of 17 and began my college courses on June 7, 1972. By the time I was 18, I was just 6 weeks away from being a sophomore. My GPA was a 2.89. If I had been concentrating more I'd made better. Larry's was 3.8 or something like that with a major in Economics. We were both working 25-30 hours per week and taking Tae Kwan Do about 6 hours per week. I now work for a freight line doing rates and I have no idea where Larry is. We married in 1975 and divorced in 1979 or so. I put him through the U.T. Law School in Austin. You can write your own ending to that one. It's a common one.
