Jamie's Story

Life Wish that I could connect with everyone at the reunion, but we had a family vacation planned, so internet it is! First off, I must say the profile questions sucked. 8 years. My community is mostly musicians and at age 30 I learned to play drums and played in a rock band for many years. Right after our 20th reunion, our house burned to the ground and we lost everything. So I decided that I should face the fire and learn to weld! I started doing metal work and was lucky enough to go to Penland Craft School and learn blacksmithing. Shortly after getting my studio set up, I became pregnant and Tom and I have a beautiful 6 year old. Oh yeah, I got married. Tom is a filmmaker, working at UNC School of Public Health. Mason is in first grade, and, unlike his mother, LOVES school. I am a stay at home mom, loving my life. We live on 10 acres in the country with two old cats and a giant dog.
