Life
After grad. I got my LVN license and worked at Tx. Childrens for a few years before I met my husband. He was an officer in the army at Ft. Sill which is where we were married in 77 (32 years wow) and my first 2 kids were born (boy and a girl). Transferred to Germany for a couple of years (2nd son born in Germany) then back to Arlington, Tx. for 3 more. Our daughter was found to have a mental disability during this time. Our last move was to Md. and was where we were when hubby left the military. We've been here for 22 years now. I've had a few different careers but now I primarily take care of my daughter. She if fairly high functioning but unable to live on her own. Eight years ago I discovered stained glass and it's my stress relief and artistic outlet and I love it. more. We've enjoyed traveling and have the opportunity to do quite a bit now. I've started taking a class here and there at the local community college. It's been great fun to discover that you can teach an old dog new tricks. I make it back to Tx. 2-3 times a year since all my family still lives there. They all moved to the Ft. Worth area in the late 70s, mom passed away from lung cancer when she was 45.....very hard on all of us as we were all just starting our families. I've reconnected with some old classmates but would like to hear from many more. Why hasn't the class of 70 ever had a reunion? Who puts these things together?
