Jan's Story

Life I went to Drury University here in Springfield for 2 yrs then decided to stop wasting the folks' money! I've lived here ever since, with a short stint in Miami, Fla, with my sister and another short period in Oklahoma. I didn't get married until I was 30, had my only child at 35, and divorced the *** when I was 36. Haven't fallen back into the marriage thing since. My daughter graduated H.S. in 2002, went to school locally for a year. She is working with developmentally challenged adults, and turned 22 this year. I used to work for a merchandising company and spent every day in a Wal-Mart Supercenter (a shopper's idea of heaven or...Expand for more
hell). I love to travel and shop and lie on the beach. That's my idea of heaven, forget Wal-Mart. Because sales promotions became the most important aspect (& I hate sales!) I left & am now working for the same company as my daughter. I knew I was getting older when a young woman came to work at a company I was employed with a few years ago. During conversations with her I found out that her mother had gone to SW. She went home and talked to her mom and they got out the yearbook and found me! Her mom is Carol Hagen (not Perry)! Never had the opportunity to contact her because her daughter didn't stay with the company past 2 days.
