Jan's Story
After graduating from Iowa State in May of '68 with a degree in English (inspired, I'm sure by Elsworth Lory...!...), I married Bill Dieterichs from Osage, IA. He started a 35-year career with Ralston Purina as a commodities buyer.
We moved a couple of times but arrived here in St. Louis at the corporate headquarters in 1976. We raised our three kids here and now have two grandchildren. Our kids live in Columbia, MO, Denver, CO, and NY, NY, so we are empty-nesters who have to travel to see our family.

hat year in the fall of 1968 with Kathy Bobenhouse and Dave Lien, who of course ended up marrying each other a couple of years later. Bill and I and Dave and Kathy shared an enjoyable time together in the Quad Cities at that time, although brief.
I taught a total of three years before our kids were born, then I stayed home with th till the youngest was in high school. I picked up my master's at Webster Univ here, then taught Comp 1 and 2 at St. Louis Comm College for four years.
I am looking forward to this yesr's 50th reunion in DM the first of August.
