Life
Let's see - where do I begin?! John and I will celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary this year, and this year also marks the birth of our first grandchild - Noah Atticus Mitchell was born May 2, 2004, and is now at home in Oak Park, IL with his parents, Dr. Mark Mitchell (Cardiology Fellow at Loyola) and Jennifer Hendricks-Mitchell (High-School English teacher at Glenbard HS in Glen Ellyn). Although Noah required open-heart surgery at 3 days of age, he is doing well, and should be ready for his next corrective heart procedure in the fall.
Our son, Josh, is the Sports Information Director at North Central College in Naperville.
John still works for McDonalds (since 1981)as Director of Field Purchasing, Western Region.

hattan, IL for the last 14 years; 12 in the same house (our 'mini-farm', with 3 horses, 5 cats, 1 English Shepherd Dog, and 15 Border Terriers!)
I (Jan) still raise and show Border Terriers, and thoroughly enjoy living in the country. I love being a Grandma, and can't wait for Noah to get big enough for his own pony. :-) John says he is too young to be a Grandpa (strange - since he is 4 years older than me) but I see his eyes light up everytime he holds Baby Noah!
While John enjoys playing golf and basketball, I prefer to do my artwork and take care of the critters. If you've never been to a dog show, try the International Kennel Club show at McCormick place each spring (details can be found online) - you will find me in the Border Terrier ring!
