Jan's Story
Life
After I left LHS, I headed north to UC Davis where I actually graduated in 4 years. Finding marriage much more exciting than prospect of working full time, I set off as a bride to the grand state of Idaho and eventually San Diego. Somewhere along that path I determined my marriage wasn't really working for me, so I have been a "statistic" for almost 10 years now.
I am the proud mom of three grown sons. Currently I am a special education teacher in one of the suburban school districts in San Diego county. I love my job. Just recently I have also taken on working part time for our district's teachers' union................So I teach three days a week and "union-goon-it' on the other two days.

yself as a So Cal girl, but I really do enjoy living in the northern part of San Diego county near the beach.
It's been fun reading through this website and seeing names I have not remembered in years! Amazing actually!

Well, let me think.........I graduated from UC Davis in 1974 with a degree in Dietetics. I did an internship at Sacramento Sutter Hospitals until March 1976 when I married. I have worked in a variety of settings as a dietitian, but most recently (the last 15 years) went back to school for my teaching credential. Finished up the masters degree a couple years ago in order to earn those big bucks............. But being a teacher in the great state of California really is tough given the situation with the budget these days!
