Janet's Story
Busy the past couple years remodeling my older home on two acres in Mead, CO. The inside is almost completed and now it's time to put in a small orchard and more trees, shrubs, and, maybe, a small pond to help sustain what is becoming a bird haven out here amidst larger farms. Directly west of me are the twin mountain tops of Long's Peak and Mt. Meeker. It's a serene and calming setting and helps balance what is still a very active career as the manager of a floral department in Boulder. I have no plans to retire anytime soon.

Internet because widely separated family members can maintain ties. Even my Dad, Al, bought and began using a computer at age 73. For his last five years, we had wonderful conversations!
My most memorable vacation was in 2008, a year after my husband passed away. That was the vacation we had planned on taking that year. It was bittersweet but enjoyable to see the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges again as I drove from Seattle to Vancouver. The pre-Olympic city was bustling with towers under construction to house the 1000s of visitors expected. I rented a bike and traveled all over the city and Vancouver Island, enjoying their transit system from skyways, to ferries, trains and buses.
