Jan's Story

Life after graduation from WFHS went to Midwestern then Texas A&M to be a Vet. Then came back to Midwestern for Accounting. Transferred my last year to UNT to get my B.S. in Computer Science (1980). Married Brian Gillespie also from WFHS (1975) moved to Duncan OK and worked for Halliburton for 2 1/2 yrs. One daughter born 1982 (Lisa). Transfered to Arlington, Texas in 1983 with Halliburton. Another daughter born in 1984 (Jamie). Went to work for Houston General Insurance in 1986 in Fort Worth. A son born 1988 (Shawn). Separted from Brian in Jan 1997 and divorced in Mar 1998. Never married your high school sweetheart.. I should have listened. Started work as contract programmer in 1998. Worked with Sabre, Auto One and now with BNSF Railroad in Fort Worth. Remained single until July 2000 and remarried Gary Darrow born in Fort Worth, raised in Highland Park, Dallas. He has one daughter Pam (born 1987) lives with mother in Sulphur Springs. graduated from UT Arlington with a BS in Computer Science and works for Pier 1. Jamie graduated from UNT in Behavoral Analysis and is a keeper/trainor at the Fort Worth Zoo. We babysit their Pomeranian, Terrior Mix and Austrailan Shephard. My son Shawn is at TCC and moved out to own apartment in Aug 2009. Thank God! Not enough room in home for his stepfather and him. He has a Sheltie. We babysit him too! My female pom had two litters and thinking about a third. Became an employee for BNSF in July 2007. Maybe there will be something to retire on after all! If this life doesn't work out may go back to Texas A&M and get that Vet degree. Ever seen Something to Talk About? School Wichita Falls High School 1976-1980.
