Life
Thought it was time to update my bio..have been divorced for 7 years after 21 years of marriage...however, have 2 wonderful children from the union that I am blessed with...my son is now 27 soon to be 28. He is married and has blessed me with a wonderfully funny grandson. My daughter has graduated from Alvin and is a sophomore at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She continues playing volleyball. She makes me one proud mom and excoach. LOL..She received student-athlete of the week there back in November and also was selected all conference this past season..looking forward to seeing old friends at the next reunion...still in Alvin, so if anyone is still around give me a shout...would love hearing from you...
School
High School was a blast for the most part...remember the cinnamon rolls in the cafeteria...all the Friday nights at football games and pizza after...all those volleyball games we won...prom at Alvin Junior High...homecoming dances...riding around on Saturday nights trying to stay out of trouble...staying after school in the fall and watching football pract...Expand for more
ice...Does anyone remember one of the coaches telling one of the biggest football players,...you gotta tackle 'em not dodge 'em..needless to say this guy always started playing but never made it through an entire season...does anyone remember wrapping Coach Hudsbeth's and Coach Cooper's house and getting caught? what a bummer...Joe, how about Kid's day..we were so cute!!!
College
After graduation, I went to Hungry Hill (Palestine), Texas and taught and coached. moved to Alvin in 84 and have been here since...Looking for anyone that remembers 16th street station...How about intramurals and Strawberry Hill or Schindler's...We were awesome, weren't we? I have so many wonderful memories!!!!
Workplace
Have had only two jobs since college graduation...I don't know if that means I have been fortunate or don't like change...LOL..I have really enjoyed where I have worked...and miss all the students I taught in Palestine...I am teaching in my home town, now...I have taught English and coached at good old Alvin High..I am now in the Special Education department co-teaching World History..
