Jan's Story
After high school I went to CWU in Ellensburg and thought I would become a teacher which runs in my family. I got a bit side tracked when I met my now husband of 30 years and ended up majoring in him instead! He (Mike) did graduate and we moved to Longview Wa where he is from. I had a terrible time getting use to all the rain, I still don't care for it!
We have two kids, Jennifer 28, she is a Montessori teacher in Seattle and Christopher 26 is a former Marine who now lives in Bellingham Wa and does all kinds of odd jobs.
For the past 21 years I have been working for the Kelso Post office. I have a foot route which is 13 miles ...Expand for more
long! They pay me to exercise! Needless to say I do like to work out and so far I've run 4 Portland Marathons. My best time was this year, 4:06!
I love playing Guitar Hero and do a little gambling. I really like to bowl, especially with my Elvis bowling ball that I bought in Graceland! Gardening is also a hobby. My dog Jimmy keeps me company outside when he isn't chasing squirrels and dear that inhabit our backyard.
I have a wonderful husband who is the absolute best, two kids who never gave me any trouble and turned out to be very nice and smart adults, and a terrific family! Knock on wood... life has been pretty good to me.
