Jana's Story
Since our last reunion in 1999, I finished up my doctorate in piano performance and got a job teaching piano at Luther College in Iowa. I moved to sunny California in 2001 after marrying my husband Armando ("Mando") Olvera. He's a school administrator here . . . currently an elementary school principal. d son (5 and 3 years old). I teach piano privately and perform regularly as a soloist and accompanist.
How do I hope old friends remember me? I have no idea . . . all I know is that I loved my time at PHS, enjoyed being a child of the 80s and often have funny, slightly nightmarish dreams about not being able to get my locker open and being late for class!
