Jane's Story

Life Well, writing this has taken some thought - what have I done for the last 40 years? My life in 100 words or less... After graduation from RDHS, I worked in NYC for a few years. I met my husband, Kevin, on a blind date and we were married seven months later in 1972. We have three children: Chris (in Salt Lake City), Torie (in Chicago) and Greg (Providence) and I loved being a stay-at-home mom when they were young. I went back to college and got my degree after several years (sometimes watching my kids' basketball games was more important than a semester with the books). I became a grandma in May to Sidney Paige Anderson - for my birthday in July, she gave me one of her first smile...Expand for more
s! Our oldest son is getting married in September, so maybe more grandchildren will start arriving in the next few years... I have worked in hospitals for over 20 years as a medical staff coordinator and currently as Director of Medical Staff Services for a Hartford hosptial. I will be semi-retiring at the end of October and will do some consulting projects, hopefully that will take me to warm places in the winter. I am currently on the Board of Directors of NAMSS (National Association Medical Staff Services). I love to travel and trace my family tree (I'm back to the 1700s in Ireland). So in retirement, I hope to have more time to work on my roots (and not just the ones in my head).
