Jane's Story
Life
I was born in 59, lived in Hamilton Massachusetts until I was 8, moved to North Beverly and lived there until I was 21. During that time, devoured books, took long walks in the woods around Wenham Lake, painted and drew whenever I had free time. In Jr. and Sr. High while my parents were going through a divorce, I got into as much trouble as I could, became a groupy and met lot's of very different folks from completely different walks of life. When I graduated from high school, I lived in Falmouth on Cape Cod for the summer, sold blueberry muffins for J.C. Pennie's "Bakery" at the Northshore Shopping Centerl and survived the Blizzard of 78.
It was then that my dad gave me the "talk" regarding my direction in life, and I began a short two year stint at Montserrat School of Visual Art. I also worked at the infamous "Midnight Munchies" in Marblehead and the Ground Round in Danvers during that time.
I was introduced to Jesus in the Catholic Church but became a "full-fledged" believer in Christ at 19 during my time at Montserrat, when I began seeki...Expand for more
ng His direction. At 21 I moved out to southern California where I was baptized in water and spirit. I spent a few years getting my bearings when I decided to become a nurse in preparation for missions. I worked in various hospitals (including General Hospital in LA, Huntington in Pasadena, Methodist in Arcadia) and also as a school nurse in Pasadena.
I met my husband and his two beautiful girls age 8 and 11, while attending a non-denominational church in the early 90's. Since then we have had two children together in 1999 and 2000 and now have 5 adorable grandsons.
My husband Don, who is a self-employed building/remodeling contractor grew up an MK and spent half of his childhood in Seoul, the other half in Tennessee, so our family culture is a mix of New England, Southern U.S.and Korean.
After a 20 year career, I retired from Maternal-Child Health Nursing last year and am loving being a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom of my two beautiful gifts from God. At the end of 2009, we made the decision to move to Beverly after 30 years of So. Cal living.
