Jane's Story
The short version of my story is as follows:
I graduated high school, attended Ohio State University for 4.5 years majoring in art education and design. Then I moved to Lake Jackson, Texas and where Charlene Paulus was living but then decided to move up to Houston to take more college courses. The colleges didn't have the courses I wanted, so I decided to go to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Art Center was rated as one of the top two design colleges in the country, so off I went to sunny Cal. Attending Art Center was a terrific, but very expensive. I sadly left and finished my design degree at California State University.
I stayed in the Los Angeles area and started on my career. I married, divorced, continued to work and build my ...Expand for more
resume. In the late 80s I was offered a job in New Zealand which I just couldn't resist. I sold most of my belongings and headed to the Southern Hemisphere. New Zealand was terrific. I made lots of wonderful friends, traveled as much as I could, went whitewater rafting, sailing, repelling, kayaking, climbed a glacier, hiked the Milford Track, and organized the first New Zealand Graphic Design Awards.
My working visa ended, so I decided it was time to come home. I returned to LA and continued to work, enjoy life and the sunny weather. I married and divorced again, worked some more, traveled some more and generally had a great time.
I have now returned to Ohio to support my aging family. I am working in Columbus and relearning how to cope with the weather.
