Jane's Story
Jane L. Fitzpatrick is a Founder and the executive director of the 501c3 tax-deductible nonprofit company Humanity Shines Organization. She is also an award-winning screenwriter, film and series creator/producer through her company Broken Hand Productions, LLC. And she is a published author through Spirit Wind Films & Media, LLC. Jane has been a writer for more than 30 years, including creative writing, business writing, and blogging. She wrote the award-winning feature film screenplay, SACAJAWEA, The Windcatcher, an epic movie based on the life of Sacajawea, inspired by the Journals of the Lewis & Clark Expedition and Shoshone traditions and culture, currently in Development. Most recently, Jane wrote five episodes (one of which is an award-winner) of a 12-episode animated series she created and is producing for 2025, entitled Moon Drake. She has also written a family-centered script, entitled, "Kimama's Wings," among other film projects. She has published an inspirational book entitled "Awakening," part of her "Embrace the World with Love Words..." series, which is an award-winner at The BookFest. She also published the children's book "The Grass Maiden, Sacajawea," and the award-winning children's book "Lost Kids of Borealonon," which is also being developed for film. It was an International Impact Book Awards winner in 2024. In addition, Jane will soon be publishing the children's book, "Petunia the Pink Tyrannosaurus Rex," written by Jane L. Fitzpatrick with Illustrations by her daughter Shawna N. Fitzpatrick-Harris and Watercolor backgrounds by Jane and her granddaughter, Faith Halseth.
