Jane's Story
Life
I took advantage of an early retirement in June, 1999 after 31 years at AT&T and I've never looked back. I started painting in 2001 and I am having more fun than I ever could have imagined. It was well worth the wait!
I have 2 grand children (a boy and a girl) neither unfortunately live in Georgia. My son David lives in Georgia, his daughter lives in Colorado. My step daughter Allison lives in New Mexico with her husband and son. My step son Jonathan is living with me until January 2009. My daughter Aimee graduated from West GA in 2002 and is working now. alerie graduated from Oglethorpe in 2005 and is finishing her MBA. She is starting her own business.
College
I went to Georgia State College for a little over two years (1964-66). I finished all of my core requirements and started taking courses in my major, art. At the beginning of my junior year I went to work at AT&T, which was across the street and started taking night classes at college. I finally dropped out after a short time and married.
I always wanted to be a an artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
