Jane's Story

I was born Jane Treglia on January 7, 1957. I graduated from Trumbull High in 1975. While at Trumbull High School, I sang in the Concert Choir and taught beginner guitar lessons. After graduation, I attended Western Connecticut State College(University). I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Fine Applied Arts in 1979. A year later, I married John March and moved to the Poughkeepsie, NY area. I taught preschool for about four years. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. I became a mother of two children: Mary born on 8/31/85, and John III, born on 9/11/89. I was a stay at home mom for about fourteen years and provided day care to working teachers. My son John was diagnosed with ADHD and Pervasive Developm...Expand for more
ental Disorder at the age of three. PDD is on the Autism Spectrum. Since my son's diagnosis, I have been an advocate for special education. I am currently working in a local Jr. High School. I am a member of the Autism Society and an Autism support group. Music has been my hobby for over thirty five years. I have attended SummerSongs, and Cedar Run song writing camps as well as various song writing workshops. I am also a member of the Hudson Valley Folk Guild. I have been a featured performer at various venues. Besides my Autism fund raising CD, "In His Eyes/Living With Autism", I am working on a child friendly CD tentatively called, "I Love to See Them Smile". In the near future, I will be putting out a full length compilation CD called, "Chapters of Life".
