Jane's Story

I went to Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, and majored in music. I ended up in Upstate NY playing my 'cello in several orchestras for a few years, then moved to NJ to study with Barbara Mallow after attending Kneisel Hall in Blue Hill, ME, for three summers. I continued to play professionally for several years. When I moved to NJ, I got a job in an accounting firm and very quickly dated and married one of my bosses. further my education, and I got an MS in Computer Science. I was a software developer until 2018 when I was laid off and subsequently retired. I hope to return to music in retirement. In 2002 and 2003 we adopted two boys from Russia. When they were 5, my husband died of cancer. One of my sons has speech apraxia and attends a special needs school. They are both 15 at the time of this writing (1/9/16). Life is a struggle, but I thank God for my many blessings!
