Jane's Story
Not much to tell...graduated from Illinois State University in Education of Children with Visual Impairments...taught in Colorado, did graduate work at the University of Northern Colorado, taught in Arizona. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2006--a test that I never thought I could pass, and I did!!! Ended up in Southern Illinois near Carbondale in 1980 where I met my husband, had two wonderful children and have been here for many years. I do not ride) and took a raft trip through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River! The next thing on the list--do something memorable in each of the 50 states before I am 60---5 states to go! (Update, I have 3 states to go---I visited Delaware and S. Caroline this past year 2010.)
Our daughter is studying sign language for persons who are deaf and our son is studying Physics at the University of Illinois. My older brother still lives in Lansing and my younger brother lives in the Phoenix area. My Dad died in 2004, Mom died in 1976, and my younger brother in 1974.
