Janean's Story
Graduated in 1972 and married Larry Ahner. We had one daughter Amy in 1974. Unfortunately we divorced in 1980. I met my current husband the same year and have been married to Michael for 28 years. I worked until my daughter graduated from highschool in 1992 and started a daycare. We lived in Oakdale at the time. We did some traveling, went to Ireland and had some adventures. Michael took me skydiving on my 39th birthday. I would highly recommend it.
In 1994 Michael and I moved to Las Vegas for 1 year and then moved to Reno, Nv. We lived in Reno until 2000 and moved back to Modesto to care for my Mother-in-law who had Alzheimers. After her passing we moved back to Reno where we plan to ...Expand for more
stay. We love it here.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996 and went on disability in 2000. I'm still doing very well and it doesn't stop me from doing what I want but really love not having to work. We live with our daughter, who will turn 34 this year. She's worked at the Atlantis casino for 12 years. She's a very good Craps dealer. We have a house full of animals. 6 cats and 2 dogs.
My husband was diagnosed with cancer in January and had a portion of his lung removed and did 3 mo. of chemo. He's gotten a clean bill of health and is recovering well.
Life has been an adventure since graduation and I look forward to next part of my life. If you're ever in Reno look me up.
