Janean's Story
Life
I was born in Downey, Ca. and in 1961 moved to Collegewood in Walnut. I lived there untill I married in May 1978. I stayed in the area untill 1993 when we moved our family to Tulsa where we still are today. My biggest moments in life were being named female Chatterbox by my Senior class, winning $300.00 in 1976 on "Let's Make A Deal", Getting married and out of my mom's house in 1978, the births of my son and daughter, loosing my father in 1987, the move to Oklahoma (what culture shock) and the birth of our first grandchild in 2001. All in all, I never set my goals to high but have trully attained much higher things then I could have ever imagined.
School
I grew to appreciate growing up in the same house and schools. Getting the recognition for going to the same school district for 13 years was a moment I'll ...Expand for more
never forget. There was only about 8 or 10 of us in our whole class. Getting the "Senior Standout - Chatterbox" was the one thing my mouth got me into that I'm proud of to this day. My current employer agrees. I haven't changed in that way at all. (Sorry to say) Graduating mid-term in Jan. 1974 and that very day getting my licence was a bonus. Going directly to Mt. Sac was a mistake. I should have had some fun first.
Workplace
After giving up on college, I went to a trade school and honed my secretarial skills. I stayed in the front office untill I moved to Tulsa Oklahoma in 1993, where I'm only having to work part-time in small local retail stores. I've gone from Wendy's to selling mattresses and now in a boutique of all kinds of different items. Now I'm enjoying life with very little stress!!! Sort of!!LOL
