Janelle's Story
Well, after high school, I attended Whittier College. I studied Philosophy & Religion - loved it.
My plan was to continue on to get my masters and so on and eventually teach college level ethics. But, I was pretty burnt after finishing at Whittier, so I substitute taught K-8th grades for a year. That was enough to convince me I definitely did not was to be a K-8th teacher. I went to work for AMC Theatres as a manager in 1991 and spent the next 12 years working there and enjoyed it very much. I moved into levels of senior management and was the GM at many So Cal locations including Century City, Downtown Disney and the Block at Orange. During my last few years at AM...Expand for more
C, I also did manager training - which led me into my current career of Training and Development. I manage all aspects of development training from planning to design and delivery.
In 1992 I met Don Lane through AMC and we have been together since...we married in 1998. We have 2 boys Nicholas is 13 and Alex is 12 and a half. We stayed in so cal - but over the last few years we have been thinking of leaving California - too much traffic and too expensive! We are busy with sports. We are very involved with Autism as our youngest son is on the spectrum.
