Janelle's Story
Life
Life since '68' has been very exciting. Travel and family have been my major focus. Twelve years ago I started a private elementary school, Children's Academy; which is now serving kids from grades Pre-K to 12. As I've been teaching 17 years now, I guess head of school is going to be my 'last' new career' It's been quite a ride! I'm still awaiting MY retirement; serving as a voluntary family advocate when I have time, and enjoying our now grown kids, one grandson, foster kids, and of course the kids I work with.
My husband, Brad and I, just celebrated our 27th anniversary with his retirement(yeah!). Brad has been on a few foreign mission trips; and will be heading out in October for a 1,300 mile bike ride! es allow we head straight to our boat. We just spent 3 weeks crusing the Gulf Islands -- that was great!!! I enjoy boating, reading, and all the things I enjoyed when I was much younger; I guess some things never do change!
Our children are grown, our son is 25, and daughter is 21. Our foster girls are 27 & 19 and living on their own. My son works for the City of Seattle and my daughter is in school at the UW. We're busy, but happy.
God has been so good to us. I hope all has been good for the rest of the class.
