Janet's Story
Hello Everyone, Where did ll the years go? It has been a long time since graduation on 1960 at Gilroy High! It has been years filled with many events of having a family, two sons, Jeff and Greg and four wonderful grandchildren , who have always been the light of my life!
I am a Real Estate Broker and have had the pleasure of working with people and properties for many years now. I sometimes wonder how I found my way to to choose this business, but I love it and have hope I have done some good. I work for some large corporations in managing some assets and still do my have the good fortune of my local business.
I still remember going down to get my diploma at Girloy High Graduation, in a blue gown and hat, holding a big bouquet of red roses with hope in my heart but yet wondering what was before me in the future. So now that 50 years have past I can say it has been quite a journey and found so many surprises along the way.
It is funny how sometimes when I go to Monterrey street and yes even order lunch at the old bowling alley, memories flood me sometimes, of the once busy streets, going to initiation at Rainbow Girls...Expand for more
in the masonic hall with Karen Daum, the formal I wore and oh yes the old Girloy Bakery and Foster Freeze, just a few things, I can still recall when the old cannery was operating and the smell of tomatoes overtook the garlic aroma!
Sometimes i recall with so much fondness the big pool at Gilroy High, being on the aquatic team and yes a two piece bathing suit! How brave or foolish I was, but it was fun.
I have two sons, Jeffery, age 47 and Gregory, Age 45, both graduates of Gilroy High, going on to do wonderful things , attending schools in Arizona and universities in Sacramento. Both married to beautiful women, and two grandsons and two granddaughters, we have had so much fun together, These are the priceless things in my life, Jeff lives in Gilroy and Greg lives in El Dorado Hills
My Twin Sister , Jean lives in Rose burg , Oregon and I miss her, She is retired and is quite a seamstress these days. She is a Grandmother too !
So nothing really big , just a life that seems to go along in a simple way, but that's the way I like it. More and more I realize the value of relationships and cherish many memories! Hi to alll
