Janet's Story
Life
Wallingford is great! I grew up on the east side and still enjoy living on the east side of town, although most of the farm land is slowly disappearing. I am fortunate to have most of my family close by and we get together quite regularly. There's nothing better than having the love and support of your family and friends.
School
Lyman Hall High School - Class of '71 was the largest graduating class (630+ students). I remember the crowded hallways, walking outside between classes, and still being late for class. I also remember the parking lot... and the screeching tires leaving the school at the end of the day. I always enjoyed my art classes with Mr. Flaws and Mr. Abeshouse; my geometry class with Mr. Nicholetti; history class with Mr. Corbett; and, of course, gym with Ms. Samaha....Expand for more
At the time, I chose to work a part-time job after school and really did not take advantage of the sports or activities that were offered after school. I did, however, really enjoy watching all of you do, whatever it was that you did --- the sports events, the dances, the school plays, the chorus, the band, etc. Thank you for participating and making the school a fun place to be.
College
Middlesex Community College, A.S. Degree
Workplace
Over the years, I have provided executive administrative/corporate relations support for board directors and senior management, mostly in financial services.
Military
Although my father was a retired Lt. Colonel in the CT National Guard, I did not choose a military career. (Girls weren't encouraged to join at that time --- oh my, how time has changed!)
