Janet's Story

After high school I attended JSU for several years where I was on the danceline- the Marching Ballerinas (which was a lot of fun...and hard work), in a sorority-Phi Mu, and a little sister to Kappa Alpha fraternity. Studying was in the way of my social schedule, therefore, it showed on my GPA. Anyway, I decided to go to Nursing school (which cut out all the fun) and I became a nurse. I truly enjoy my job...there is never a dull moment! I married in 2003, he's from Gadsden and a JSU grad. He was also in the Army for many years as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne division and traveled around to many places. He did alot of his training in Mo...Expand for more
nterey, California in language school. His particular job was a voice interceptor and he flew around in helicopters most of the time. He now works in Birmingham in litigation for an insurance group. He was accepted into Birmingham School of Law and has aspirations to do that just as soon as the kids get a little bit older! Which, by the way, is the greatest thing I've ever done...becoming a mother. (and the hardest thing, sometimes) 36 is a little bit old I've discovered to start having babies. But so worth it! Ben is 3 years old and Emma Kate is 16 months....and we are DONE!!! Hope everyone is well, and hope to hear from some of you! Janet
