Janet's Story
Life
Moving to Los Angeles in the junior year from Truman high school really changed my life (and that of my sister too, in case any of you knew her..Susan Gratz). I ended up hanging around Warner Bros. studios that summer and made friends with "The Waltons" cast and hung out on their set. I realized I wanted to be part of that industry. I ended up being an intern on the Irwin Allen movie "The Swarm" in the editing dept. and loved it so much that it has become my career!

5 years now and have worked on movies and TV shows. The last TV show I finished was the sitcom "Teachers," before that was Joan of Arcadia, before that was James Cameron's series Dark Angel. Editing work has gone digital and it's a big change from splicing film to digital media but those of us who have made the switch enjoy it just the same.
