Janet's Story
I was an art major and designed the class sweater emblem. There was some controversy over my emblem. It wasn't on the ballot. Through Vicki's help my emblem was drawn on all the Seniors homeroom chalkboards to be voted on & it won. Though I never made it in academics my friends were Marti Fleming, Vicki Sivestri, Bev Ryder, Roland Duma, Susie Lambert, & Ann Richie among others. Graduated from CSULA with a BA in art.
I have celebrated 50 years of being best girlfriends with Marti. In those years I've married & written 5 volumes of a science fiction novel of which 2 & 4 are finished but no...Expand for more
t yet published. Marti has encouraged & supported me in my writing by listening to my stories & reading my manuscripts. As of the new year I am now in the process of editing & getting my manuscripts ready for a literary agent & finally publication.
No children but had 6 cats with 2 new 1s in the last 5 years. Went homeless for a year in 2007-2008 and live near downtown. I live with my retired husband. I have a niece, a nephew in law, 2 great nieces & a great nephew. My husband Dan recently passed in September of '17. I hope to move to Alhambra soon leaving LA behind to make new memories.
