Life
Well, it's been a long and very windy road ... it's hard to believe it's been over 30 years since high school. Can we really be THAT old??
I've been court reporting for almost 20 years and worked for 13 years at Queen's Bench, till they replaced us with digital recording in 2000. Then I started travelling up to Nunavut (the Eastern Arctic, the old Northwest Territories) in 2001 and then came to Yellowknife to do a year-long contract in 2003. Wasn't here too long when I realized I didn't want to go back to the rat race in Calgary, so I moved here in 2004 and have been here ever since. the great north and it has been an unbelievable experience. Whole 'nother world up here.
I was married - a long time ago (no kids) - and have been on a soul-searching mission ever since. It's all very interesting, this thing called life -so much to learn. My goal is to continue to improve myself, to be the best that I can be, to help the next guy when I can, to live in the moment and find joy in each day that passes. The older I get, it seems, the better that plan works.
