Janet's Story
So, wow it's been 40 years. What's been going on with me?? Everything. I went to SUNY Brockport and then dropped out after a year. Yep I was one of those that went wild when out from under parents control. Joined the Air Force but on a fling before basic I met a bartender, free drinks. Got pregnant. After basic and training I figured it out. For the next 15 years I was married to him and had 3 children. We got divorced. I had 3 daughters and no money. I had a crummy job. So glad those days are over.
Soon after I met Jim (pictured). Believe me I wasn't looking for another relationship after the last one! But he touched my soul. We got married and just celebrated 20 years together. lot. My daughter's father unfortunately slid out of the picture and the girls consider Jim to be their dad. So between the not so great jobs that Jim and I had and the 4 kids we definitely went through the ringer.
Then we had a grandson, Devon. Highlight of our lives. Then the worst happened, second daughter got in a head on collision with a tractor trailer. She almost didn't make it. But she did, she has TBI (traumatic brain injury). She's full of courage.
Then we had another grandson, Liam. Amazing. Kids getting married, kids getting divorced life goes on. Jim and I did get good jobs during all of this. Got a nice house and cars that actually started. So many things.
Jim can't make it to the reunion, so I will be bringing my courageous daughter, Jenny.
